The Mortgage section is only relevant if you are using a mortgage or Help to Buy equity loan for your purchase. This step can be sent to you to complete later on your platform once the reservation is complete, or the step can be skipped entirely for you to handle offline outside of our platform. Firstly you'll be asked if you have a mortgage broker. Their details can either be searched for on our platform or alternatively their details can be entered manually.
You'll be asked if you are dealing with a particular contact at this brokerage and if so, the details can be entered for us to send the document set (minus the draft contract pack) to them directly.
We'll also ask if you have a mortgage lender, and if so, they again can be searched for on our platform or entered manually. As an optional extra, there is also the capability to upload an Agreement in Principle (AIP) if you have this to hand.
If you do not have a mortgage broker, the seller may suggest one for you to use, or alternatively, we are partners with Mortgage Advice Bureau who can financially qualify you. You can select to be contacted within 60 minutes (Mon-Sat, 9am-6pm) or you can select a specific date & time instead. You can also choose not to be financially qualified by MAB also.
The last question on this step will ask if you are happy to give your conveyancer permission to pay your mortgage broker's invoice on your behalf. While this doesn't guarantee your conveyancer will agree to this, we will send the conveyancer this information so they can choose whether they want to proceed with this. You can learn more on the conveyancer permission here.
