If a buyer declares part of their total funds as a gift, they will be prompted to enter the details of the gifter. We will send the gifter an email with instructions on how to digitally sign a Gifted Deposit Declaration form.

 Note

If the gift is over £10,000 (per gifter), we will also need to run an identity check against the gifter(s) as is required by law

How it works

We will supply an access code within the email. This code should be copied to be used in the next step.

To continue, click the Gifted Deposit Declaration button and enter the access code when prompted.

The gifter will be brought to our one-time portal to complete the necessary steps. They will not need to sign up for this.

To begin, click the Start button and follow the instructions on the screen.

Once completed, all steps will be marked as Done along with the date and time.

 Note

If the buyer changes conveyancer, this form will need to be re-submitted for signature. We will not require a second ID Check for signature resubmissions
